I saw a piece on the news about simple dark clothing being in. Grey or black shirts, black skirts and pants, crisp plain white shirts. In reaction to the downward economy, designers have stayed away from bright floral/retro designs. They feel that shoppers will want to buy an item of clothing and wear it for a very long time- thusly saving money. Anything reliable should be in this fall/winter (Gap or banana republic stuff).
If you just go to the store and buy Cosmogirl, Ellegirl, Seventeen, TeenVogue and every other teen fashion magazine, around this time they usually cover fall fashion about now.
plaids: shoes bermudas
blazers, vests, layering tees, camis
Purple Nail polish, shoulder length bobs, lacey clothing, rich colours, pointy flats/heels.
